[Contest] Mourning Bloom — Description

My official entry to dead by Daylight's Design A Cosmetic Contest. I chose Carmina Mora, nicknamed "The Artist" due to her lore and the fact I relate to her as a creative. Her story of resilience and grief really speaks to me. Dead by Daylight has an excellent way of making their characters relatable.

I chose the roses due to both the pain and beauty of them. I felt they fit Carmina well, and the snaking vines with thorns felt like a nod to how grief creeps up on us and we're bleeding before we know it. "Mourning Bloom" was chosen as my title due to the fact that sometimes we as people create beautiful connections, stories, and moments when dealing with the darkest times in our life. Those stories are the moments that make or break us, and those who make it through wear those moments of griefs like roses, beautiful yet painful reminders, and parts of us we learn to protect.
I've been honored by the amount of encouraging words and support I've received on the design already.
Voting won't start until mid-Sept if the design is picked as a finalist by the developers. I wish the best of luck to all who participate, as I've seen some incredible designs so far.
